OVERVIEW:
Citara, a concept that originated out of the passion for cinema by the A-listers in the AV as well as the Bollywood industry was to be a first-of-its-kind cinema-themed space specifically to be developed for tier 2,3 and 4 cities. Their goal was to bridge the entertainment gap in smaller towns, creating a vibrant community hub. DQ understood this aspiration and its design requirements by keeping in mind the target audience, which included small-town cinema goers along with people wanting to build ventures with great investment returns.
CHALLENGE
Our challenge was to create and design a brand identity and curate an investor deck for a wide variety of investors. A significant challenge was crafting compelling product copy that accurately conveyed the product’s features while staying true to the brand’s voice. Given the initial ambiguity of the stakeholder’s concept, our team had to bridge the gap by developing a well-structured concept note and rephrasing the brand’s messaging. We were to create something that not only resonates with the cine geeks but also attracts the Genz-s from tier 2, 3, and 4 cities who lack a platform to showcase their talent and water their deep-rooted affection for the cine world. This was a brand new concept and we were supposed to design something appealing and applauding as well as not incorporating a modern-day minimalistic approach as a huge part of our target audience is attracted to the bling. Understanding, developing, and positioning Citara as a global giant in the cinema market was the biggest challenge for us.
Brand strategy
Aligning our perspective with the stakeholder’s goals and the underlying concept. There was also an opportunity to create and explore the ways to summarize the mundane data in a visually pleasing way. The branding of Citara showbiz was deeply inspired by cine enthusiasts who ought to have an outlet to showcase their talent and engage with their cinematic interests.
SOLUTION :
1. Branding Process and Investor Deck:
The investor deck was designed to capture the essence of Citara’s vision and appeal to a diverse range of investors. It highlighted the untapped potential of the target market and the unique value proposition that Citara offered. The deck incorporated compelling visuals, market research, and financial projections to demonstrate the viability of the business concept in a chic and playful manner.
2. Logo Design:
The logo for Citara was designed to capture the brand’s vibrant personality and appeal to a wide audience. The design incorporated a blend of colors that represented the various elements of the entertainment hub, including fitness centers, cafes, clothing stores, and food options. The logo was designed to be visually striking and memorable, parking a sense of excitement and anticipation. It incorporated elements that suggested cinema, such as film strips or reels, while also hinting at the broader entertainment offerings. The logo’s design was carefully balanced to avoid a minimalistic approach, catering to the preferences of the target audience who were drawn to more visually stimulating aesthetics.
3. Website Development: A Cinematic Experience:

The Citara website was designed to create a visually immersive and engaging experience for the target audience. We made sure our website was responsive for all devices. The website’s layout and design were carefully curated to convey the cinematic aura of the brand identity. High-quality visuals, including images and videos, were digitally generated and used to showcase the various offerings of the entertainment hub. The website’s user interface was designed to be intuitive and easy to navigate, ensuring a seamless user experience. Key features and information were prominently displayed, making it easy for visitors to find what they were looking for. The website also incorporated social media integration to facilitate engagement and community building.

By combining these elements, Design Quarry successfully created a brand identity for Citara that resonated with both investors and the target audience. The branding process, logo design, and website development played an essential role in positioning Citara as a leading player in the cinema market and attracting significant investment.

Impact:
Citara’s branding efforts have been a triumph. The company’s new branding and investor pitch have captured the attention of potential investors, leading to a rapid influx of interest. Within just one month of exhibiting the brochure and investor deck, Citara secured multiple investors on board. This momentum has been further fueled by a highly effective lead generation strategy, resulting in over 10 franchise owners joining the Citara family in a remarkably short period.
